“We Free Democrats want a single EU market for non-profit organisations,” writes the FDP in its manifesto for the 2019 European elections, adding:
Around 146,000 foundations and an even larger number of associations and supporters are active in the fields of education, health, social affairs, science and culture and are implementing a range of projects and activities for the common good. However, the recognition of non-profit status, donation receipts and cooperations across EU borders is still problematic.
And the Liberals conclude:
We therefore want to create a single European market that removes the remaining obstacles to cross-border funding and cooperation. In the course of this we also demand the creation of a European association law as an additional alternative to national forms of association.
